Factory (Thames Photographic) at St.Margarets roundabout, Chertsy Road (A316), Twickenham – date unknown – architect unknown
I’m going to have to find out a lot more about this former factory in St.Margarets. It’s a real stunner and as you can tell has been renovated fairly recently. Its used as offices, currently with space to let it seems – I hope Michael Rodgers appreciates the extra publicity!
I’d love to hear if you can tell me anything more about it.
This was the Thames Photographic factory (pre-WW2) and later used by Bell & Howell. The A316 is still known locally as the Chertsey Road.
I worked in that building for Bell & Howell Business Division I worked in the film development lab where we processed Microfilm (business documents backup) and Microfiche using Diazo process. Within the building B&H had their business machine division. this would be 1967 1970

During world war 2 the factory was making bombs.
thank you commentators for solving that mystery – I have been looking and looking for what that factory could have been – and then I thought ‘I bet dog and deco’ has seen it – and – so you have – and so have your readers. So, now, who were Thames Photograhic and why did they need such a big works??? Must keep looking
